The department is working with NSW Health to monitor and respond to the unfolding international novel coronavirus situation.
A full circle moment
Our team presented the blankets knitted to Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter on Friday. This project was all about bringing community together and adopting an ethos of compassion. Our students on the ward, their parents, health staff have all wanted to give to this initiative to help.
Volunteer co-ordinator Kim Backhouse from the Shelter said the women at the shelter were quietly humbled by the thoughtfulness of members of the community. Rosy Sullivan, Chair of the NBWS Board, was excited that the local community was assisting in the healing process for women in need of financial, physical and emotional support. “We can’t thank the teachers from the Royal North Shore Hospital School enough for their energy and enthusiasm,” Ms Sullivan said.
