About us
Royal North Shore Hospital School is a Department of Education School for Specific Purposes (SSP) that supports the learning and wellbeing of students from Kindergarten to Year 12 during their stay at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards.
Our school operates within a unique shared space alongside NSW Health, allowing us to work closely with medical teams, families and carers to provide continuity of learning in a safe, inclusive and flexible environment.
We offer a calm, supportive and nurturing setting where students can participate in meaningful learning experiences tailored to their interests, abilities and circumstances. Our staff work in partnership with census schools to maintain educational progress and support wellbeing, recognising that every student’s hospital journey is different.
