The purpose of Royal North Shore Hospital School is continuity of education for students who experience illness and chronic health conditions. Our Department of Education School (K-12) delivers education services alongside the child's treatment, recovery and reintegration back to school.
All educators have a shared responsibility to ensure that students remain connected to learning, even when they cannot attend their usual educational setting.
Learning is highly individualised and responsive to each students needs during their stay.
Learning and teaching can happen in the classroom, by the bedside, in isolation, and on other wards of the hospital.
